Absolute Store Warranty
What do our Absolute Automation Group Terms and Conditions say about warranty?
1.2 (b) (Definitions, Interpretations and General) ‘Company‘ means Absolute Automation Group Limited and any of its subsidiaries;
1.2 (c) (Definitions, Interpretations and General) ‘Customer‘ means the individual, firm, company or other party with whom the Company contracts;
1.2 (k) (Definitions, Interpretation and General) ‘Qualifying Goods‘ means the supply of Goods and any associated Services by the Company, where the relevant Goods have been designed and manufactured by the Company;
1.2 (q) (Definitions, Interpretation and General) ‘Warranty Period‘ means the commencing on completion of the supply of the Qualifying Goods and concluding (as applicable), unless explicitly stated otherwise via order acknowledgement, on a date:
(i) 12 months from the supply date in the case of any other Qualifying Goods;
As Absolute Store is a re-seller of 3rd party manufacturer Goods, under Absolute Automation Group Terms and Conditions above, Goods sold on Absolute Store are not classed as ‘Qualifying Goods’.
However the following will set out the warrenty period for ‘Non-Qualifying Goods’ purchased from Absolute Store.
What ‘Non-Qualifying Goods’ are covered by Absolute Store warrenty?
The following points outline what is and what is not covered:
- Any Goods sold to the customer which are considered current by the manufacturer on completion of supply will be covered.
- Any Goods sold to the customer which are considered discontinued by the manufacturer on completion of supply will not be covered.
What is the Absolute Store warranty period?
The Warranty Period for ‘Non-Qualifying Goods’ that are covered by Absolute Store is 6 months from completion of supply.
What about manufacturers warrenty?
In line with Absolute Automation Group Terms and Conditions:
1.2 (i) (Definitions, Interpretations and General) ‘Manufacturer’s Warranties‘ the warranties given by any third-party manufacturer in relation to Goods supplied by the Company;
11.1 (Warranty) In relation to Goods that are not Qualifying Goods the Company shall as far as it is able pass on to the Customer the benefits of any Manufacturer’s Warranties.
As with all re-sellers some manufacturers choose to start their warranty period from the date of completion of the supply of Goods to the re-seller, this means that Absolute Store cannot guarantee the length of manufacturers warranty that Absolute Store can pass on to a customer.
What is the Absolute Store warranty process?
Once a warranty claim is raised by a customer an (RMA) Return Material Authorisation will be created for the non-qualifying Goods which are covered by Absolute Store warranty or alternatively if a Manufacturer’s Warranty is applicable.
A Purchase Order is then required from the Customer to cover the shipping for the Goods and any additional charges passed on by the manufacturer.
Absolute Store will then be able to accept the Goods for return, to forward onto the manufacturer.
Once Absolute Store have received the Goods back from the manufacturer we will forward them to the customer.
Please note: All time scales provided are estimates provided by the manufacturer and are out of our control, we will strive to process warranty claims and progress claims as fast as practicably possible. We will not accept any responsibility for loss of production time if quoted time scales are not met.
